Group accommodation in York
Located at the confluence of the Ouse and Foss Rivers in North Yorkshire, the walled city of York is the traditional county town which gave Yorkshire its name. The city has a rich historic legacy and heritage, and offers many major attractions, including the York Minster and many other worthwhile destinations. For those wishing to get away for a group holiday, either as a long weekend or for a full week, there is a wide variety of cultural and historical activities available in this exciting city.
The centre of York is enclosed by the medieval walls of the city, the most complete of their kind in England, and which offer a popular and pleasant walk, and close by York Castle is a worthwhile visit.
For a really medieval experience, the narrow pedestrian routes within the city, known as the Snickelways, are an interesting and fun stroll. These used to head towards the former market places of the city and to St. Sampson’s Square. One of these streets, known as The Shambles, is today lined with boutiques, quaint shops and tea rooms offering a restful cup of tea along the way.
There are several lovely large holiday homes in York and its surroundings which can be seen on the House Parties website. Browse the group accommodation options above, or if you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

This was our 8th time visiting Baille Hill House. The property is perfectly situated for the city centre and close to many other places of interest. The house is warm, clean and well stocked with crocks and pots. Some of the amenities in the house are a little tired and could do with updating. The showers and the upstairs bathroom are not very user friendly. Small improvements such as bigger towels, hooks on bedroom doors, working TVs and maybe a smart TV in main lounge wouldn't come amiss. The house although lovely has seen very few significant improvements in the last few years.
Excellent location for access to York bear in mind you can only park 3small cars property looking tired ready to be decorated and updated
2nd year, perfect house for enjoying the beautiful York. Will definitely come back at some point. Will recommend to friends
Baille Hill House is in an ideal location for visiting York. Parking is a real bonus and once youre there everything is within easy walking distance. The house is beautifully kept and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were a family group of 8.
We booked this property for my daughters hen party. It was a great house with plenty of room. We loved the French windows into the balcony. The location of the house is amazing with only a 10 minute walk into york centre. Its only a 10 minute walk to the railway station too. We got 3 cars on the drive.
Excellent stay. The house is in a perfect location for the city centre and the main tourist spots and references/. Parking is very tight - the suggested 3 cars fit (just!). The house was immaculately clean and fully provided with the required kitchen utensils. The bedroom configurations suited our party well. Thank you all - I'm sure we will be back.
