Luxury Family Holidays in the UK
The tip for a successful family holiday is to find a house that has something for everyone. If you are planning a summer holiday, a house with a secure garden is ideal for children, especially if there is a nice area with loungers for Mum and Dad to relax with a paper whilst the little ones run around.
Stuckgowan House is set in 34 acres of grounds and woodlands are home to a variety of rare trees including a 45-meter Sequoia tree which is the joint tallest in Scotland, so plenty to explore with a bit of education thrown in.
If you are holidaying with grandparents it is nice to pick a house that has a second sitting room should they wish to escape the noise of little ones. Stuckgowan House has a lovely library room with open fire, Fairfield House has a choice of two cosy rooms to escape to, both with open fires. The Snug has two lovely armchairs and a bar or the TV Room.
Children love a swimming pool; both High Wards in Loch Lomond and Alexander House have pools. Other extras that appeal to both adults and children alike are pool or snooker tables. Ideal for after dinner entertainment or to keep teenagers occupied if the weather isn’t so great. We have pool tables at Blaven, Alexander House, Stuckgowan House, High Wards, Fairfield House and Water Wynch.
Something that appeals to all ages is a hot tub, there is nothing nicer than enjoying a glass of wine in a hot tub whilst admiring the view. The Old Granary, Stuckgowan House and Fairfield House all have hot tubs.
