We arrived at the house and we were met by Alex the owner who made us welcome and gave us a tour of the house. Table was already set for Christmas dinner and was stunning. We were a group of 14 celebrating Christmas and we were not disappointed. The house was everything we were hoping for and had an amazing stay. Photographs of the house don't do it justice. We expected it to be big but it was massive with plenty space for everyone. Would definitely recommend booking for a special occasion and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We loved it that much we have booked it again to celebrate new year 2020 and can't wait. Thank you Alex for allowing us to make amazing memories that we will never forget at The Gatsby.
Had the most wonderful stay @ the Gatsby for a family gathering. Our host was one special guy who made us feel so welcome. The house is trully spectatular and so beautiful a real credit to Alex's hard work to transform this once hotel to a wonderful home. The whole family felt so comfortable and relaxed. Alex had thought of everything, we wanted for nothing thankyou so much for making our family gathering the best ever
We stayed here with 23 family members over a weekend. The house was fantastic, plenty of space for everyone and a great mix of formal and modern. We all had a great time and would recommend it for any large gathering.
The house owner also checked in frequently in the run up to make sure we were prepared for our weekend.
23 of us stayed here for a 2 night weekend in August. Most people hadn't traveled far - just aberdeen but it felt like we were a million miles away. The house is huge, the proportions of the rooms are great for a group of this size. You never felt on top of each other. There is a large sitting room with a approx 10 seater table, a separate large dining room with table to sit everyone, a small games room and then an open plan bar/seating area/kitchen. All the bedrooms were well appointed with comfy beds and have an en suite or their own bathroom. The house has been modernised but in keeping with the traditional nature of the building. Alex met us on arrival and gave us the tour, gave us 3 bottles of fizz for us to enjoy and left us to enjoy the weekend and unpack the tesco order! We made us of the hot tub, front lawn and all areas of the house. Having check out as 4pm on Sunday meant we had a leisurely morning and weren't in a rush to check out. Highly recommend!
There were 25 of us sharing the Gatsby House for my Dads 80th birthday celebration with family, never felt crowded & the facilitys were very good, good kitchen & there was also a hot tub & table tennis keeping kids happy. Also very handy a Co-op opposite
Alex the owner made us very welcome. His house is out of this world in every way, shape or form. We had an amazing weekend and we are already looking to rebook. I can not recommend The Gatsby enough 5 *****
