Stucktaymore-Killin (Scotland)
- Perthshire, Scotland
- Sleeps 29
- Bedrooms 13
- Bathrooms 13
Built in 1753 for the Earl of Breadalbane as his summer hunting lodge, Stucktaymore is the ideal setting for those looking for luxury group accommodation in Perthshire. Originally, the estate covered over 50,000 acres of land on the north shore of the Loch and included much of what is now Killin village. In its time this luxury group accommodation in Perthshire has been a summer residence, a rented farm, a home for the records of Scotland during World War 2, and then converted into a hotel which ran for 50 years and with 3 owners. Finally, it was turned into a residential management training centre but has now been completely upgraded and renovated into luxury group accommodation for you to enjoy.
Children will love exploring the acres of formal gardens and 2 acres of enchanted forest, complete with several fire pits for summer BBQs while the adults relax in the hot tub or on the terrace with its breathtaking views over the loch, safe in the knowledge that once you close the garden gates you have a safe area for children to play.
Something for everyone
Stucktaymore caters for everyone; if you want to escape with a good book, the library is the perfect choice, with large comfy sofas in front of the fire. Escape a cold evening with a good malt whiskey in front of the fire in the snug. Head downstairs and enjoy a game of pool. There’s another bar down here, so crack open the beers and let the pool tournament begin. The TV room has an unbelievably large TV for those wanting to catch up on their Netflix box sets! Catching up on emails is also easy as there is an office desk and chair for your comfort in this superb luxury group accommodation in Perthshire.
Fancy a bit of a boogie? There is a room just off the kitchen for all wannabe Strictly Come Dancing contestants or X Factor finalists. The room has a wooden floor, with a light system and disco ball, karaoke machine and Sonos speakers controlled via the app on your phone, all the music you want – no need to change a CD! The room will normally be left just like this; however, it also makes an ideal yoga room (mats provided) or, for those wanting to host a business meeting, we can provide table and chairs and an overhead projector.
