Driving through the outskirts of Edinburgh, on the way to your luxury group accommodation, you turn into a gated driveway and, as you make your way around the corner, you will find this stunning Grade 1 listed building and you suddenly feel as if you are in the middle of the countryside in the setting of some grand film set. The entrance hall of this luxury group accommodation in Edinburgh is breathtaking with sweeping staircase and cupula. The drawing room has views of both front and rear garden and the dining room has double doors leading straight onto the rear lawn. All this and just a few miles from the centre of Edinburgh, so if you can’t decide between a country weekend away or a city break, choose Drylaw as your luxury accommodation and have the best of both worlds.
Built in 1718 as a replacement for Old Drylaw House, which is now a ruin in the grounds, the newer property is a beautifully symmetrical, Grade A listed mansion, with the back as impressive as the front. Enjoy a BBQ or game of croquet in the beautiful gardens of your luxury accommodation, or relax in the hot tub with a glass of bubbles after a busy day of sightseeing or shopping.
This luxury group accommodation is ideal for anyone wanting to explore Edinburgh. Drylaw House is only 10 minutes in a car or a taxi from the city centre, or alternatively you can hop on a bus at the end of the drive. Taxis vary in price, but there is lots of competition with private hire firms and Uber; however, a typical black cab would cost in the region of £8-11 depending on the time of day. You can head into town and take advantage of Edinburgh’s vibrant night life one evening, or simply stay put and relax in front of a roaring log fire while our recommended talented chef whips up some gourmet delights for dinner.
Drylaw House is extremely spacious, with two TV rooms and even two kitchens; there are plenty of places in this luxury group accommodation to escape for some quiet time, with a good book and a G&T. The house lends itself to all occasions – family holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, well-being retreats or corporate away days.

Property was clean with beds and sheets especially clean and professionally prepared. The AGA was perfect for cooking lots of meals for 14 people. All interaction was very professional and Abid was fantastic and helpful. Overall a perfect venue for our family Christmas. Would rent again without question.
We used Drylaw House as a venue for our work Christmas meeting and everyone really enjoyed their stay. We received a lovely welcome from John. The house had everything we could possibly need and was a good location (close to Edinburgh city centre and the airport).
Drylaw house was an amazing property and the owners were so helpful and kind. We had a three night stay for my daughters hen party and 40th birthday - 18 of us stayed and the weekend was brilliant - we even cut short our night out to go back to the house as we loved it so much we didnt want to leave - fab location approx 15 mins in cab to city centre. One small issue with a shower and someone was at the door within minutes to sort it - wonderful customer service provided. We all loved the house so much we didnt want to leave. Highly recommend this property. I would book through a different agent next…
My husband and I were married summer 2019 in Edinburgh, inviting family and close friends from Europe, the United States, and beyond. We had many requirements for the venue: open to parties, enough beds for 20, indoor and outdoor space, flexible check in and check out, and, of course, location. Drylaw House exceeds expectations in all categories. The restoration completed by the owners is a triumphant labor of love, and truly makes the house unforgettable. Renting and celebrating here, you get much more than you pay for believe me. John and Nicki made us feel extremely welcome, responded to all inquiries promptly, and set us up for a 100% successful weekend. If I had a weeklong event, I would…
The house is immaculate and very well kept. The owners have thought of everything and the house had everything we needed and more. The owners were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is ideally located for Edinburgh and for the beaches too. We will definitely be back!
We stayed at Drylaw House for my sisters hen weekend in April. As soon as I saw the house online I fell in love with it, and it certainly did not disappoint in real life! The drive up to the house was breathtaking and the house itself was pure luxury! There were 14 of us so plenty of space, and the house was amazingly decorated and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners were so helpful and had thought of everything! They met us at the house and had even unpacked our Tesco order for us! I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a luxury house only 10 minutes out of…
