Pet Friendly Accommodation
In the UK we love our pets and when we go on holiday we don’t want to leave them behind or send them to a kennel, we want to take them with us to explore the majesty of the UK’s flowing countryside and beautiful towns and cities. The problem is that much of the UK’s accommodation selection isn’t pet friendly and won’t allow animals to stay with them.
However, there is a fantastic selection of places which do offer wonderful pet friendly accommodation and luxury for both owners and their beloved animals. At House Parties we have searched the UK high and low for the very best pet friendly holiday cottages and luxury group accommodation so you don’t have to trawl through unsuitable properties which won’t allow your pet to stay with you.
Whether you’re looking for a beautiful large holiday home in Scotland, a quaint holiday cottage in Yorkshire or a seaside retreat with group accommodation in Devon, we’ve got the pet friendly rental property for you! Browse the properties above to find your favourite pet friendly accommodation, or alternatively visit our destination pages if you’re looking for a property in a specific area.
Our pets are part of the family too, so we know the importance of being able to take them with you on your holidays, and now you can with these fantastic pet friendly cottages and holiday homes!
They say a dog is a mans best friend so we at House Parties understand why you would want to take your best friend on holiday with you. We have a selection of houses that welcome pets at no extra charge. How about taking your beloved best friend for a beach holiday, there is nothing more a dog likes than a doggy paddle in the sea or chasing a stick in the sand.
For the dog who likes a walk in more rugged surroundings, we recommend Alexander House near Gleneagles or High Wards or Stuckgowan House at Loch Lomond. If your pet is more of a city pooch then we even have a house in the centre of York with an enclosed garden that welcomes dogs.
Not all places welcome dogs, but here at House Parties, Dexter and I have a favourite app called “Doggie Pubs”. Just type in your location and Doggie Pubs will draw up a list of pooch-friendly pubs in the area, giving you the distance and a star rating, simply click on each name and you will get the address and a link to the pub website.
If you are planning a day trip to a non-dog friendly establishment, Fairfield House in Weardale even has a doggy hotel. Fully heated, the dog house can sleep 4 dogs and you can leave them for a while knowing they are safe and warm.
Pets at Home – Dexter’s favourite shop also stock everything you need to travel with your dog, from dog carriers, safety harnesses, portable dog bowls as well as balls for the beach!
